With the support of our highly qualified trainers, dogs under the Hounds 4 Healing banner will receive the relevant training and guidance with the goal of obtaining the ability to pass the Public Access Test (PAT) certification to provide assistance to their owners.
If required, Hounds 4 Healing will aid in pairing a suitable canine with veterans and first responders who would benefit by having an assistance dog. When possible we source our dogs through shelters, rescuing suitable dogs for a noble service.
Our training is in-line with the national accredited Public Access Test. This test is designed to put dog and handler through a series of very achievable but demanding tests conducted in real life situations, enabling the dog and handler to enter into public life once again.
Our training is conduction in Townsville, Currently at Mates 4 Mates. Townsville is a community that is heavily integrated within the defence force as a whole and is one of the largest garrison cities in Australia.
We also have a highly qualified trainer located in Brisbane.
